This year has been a struggle, from the pandemic to applying to colleges to senioritis. It has been tough to keep up with work and stay motivated. I have seen myself falling unusually behind in my classes, including ISM. This has caused me to struggle with contacting and interviewing professionals and completing assignments.

However, I have begun catching up in class, recently. In this past week, I contacted about 30 new professionals in addition to my original contact list. I have even ventured out from just contacting medical doctors to contacting researchers and professionals in the field of neuroscience. From the 30 professionals I contacted, I have already gotten a few responses and hope to hear back from more. I will continue my efforts in contacting professionals and staying caught up in class this following week, before the much-needed break.

Additionally, I need to begin thinking about and working on my original work for the year. It is extra challenging to think of this as I do not yet have a mentor and am not sure what resources will be available to me to aid me on this project. However, I intend to make the most out of what is possible and to be resourceful this coming year.
