The Independent Student Mentorship or ISM program is a unique and rigorous elective course that offers high achieving high school juniors and seniors in Frisco ISD the opportunity to explore and pursue careers that they're interested in.

After passing a thorough application process which includes teacher recommendations and interviews, students begin their journey through ISM. Students will conduct interviews with professionals, conduct in-depth research over their chosen topic, and ultimately find a mentor. This research is supplemented with a resume, digital portfolio, interviews, and ultimately an original work and final project.​ Throughout the process, students will receive hands on mentorship from a professional in their chosen career.

The ISM  program, students learn professional skills and gain experience that will aid them to success in the future.
