During this previous week I have moved forward in ISM in many ways. I have conducted an interview with Dr.Dussor which gave me insight into new parts of Neuroscience. I have also made progress in my original work project. However, as we near the end of the year, I have a lot more progress to make.

In my meeting with Dr. Dussor, we discussed many areas of Neuroscience which he has researched and encouraged me to do the same. I finally understood how interesting research could be and how much progress there is in the field. This definitely inspired me to conduct my own research in the future, as well as to read some of Dr. Dussor’s vast research. I am hoping that with his help, I can also enter the field of research.

This also helped me with my original work project as I realized research would be an accessible and educational project idea during COVID-19. Although I most likely will not be able to enter a research lab soon, I am hoping that reading and analyzing works of research that have already been conducted and published may have potential. I plan on working with previous research to come to new conclusions and find a possible explanation for a phenomenon in Neuroscience.

To accomplish this, I plan on conducting more meetings during this next week and reading more research to find a specific area of Neuroscience I would like to focus on. I will need to pull a lot of weight to get on track as the ISM pace speeds up.
