At this point in ISM and the school year, there is a lot going on. Currently, I am struggling to find contacts and get interviews and am putting most of my efforts into that. However, for the past week we have shifted gears to focus on a presentation.

This presentation, called the Research Reflections Presentation, allows us students to sum up our experiences during our first semester in ISM. This requires us to reflect back on our strengths and weaknesses in the year, and how they have changed. It also causes us to think back on the meaningful advice and feedback we have gotten from professionals during interview and presentation experiences.

Not only is it very refreshing to focus on a presentation after repeatedly focusing our time on contacts and interviews, but this presentation will also be very significant in tracking our progress as an ISM student. This presentation is the time to show how we have grown as public speakers and presenters, compared to our first two more casual presentations. This is the time to take in consideration the feedback we received from our classmates early. I look forward to this presentation as I get the chance to show my growth, but I also get to see how my classmates have grown alongside me.

After this presentation is over, our efforts will resume in finding contacts, interviews, and securing mentorships. Personally, I have been behind on this part of the process, but will make sure to use the next few weeks to put in extra effort and catch myself up.
