Going to Voicemail

After months of preparation for public speaking, professionalism, and our topics, the time has come that we are actually contacting professionals. After about a week of writing, recording, and practicing scripts, we began to make calls this previous week. Although this process can be frustrating or intimidating, it will pay off when we are successful in scheduling meetings with professionals with our dream jobs.
While some people choose to email professionals, the emails of professionals are not as readily available as phone numbers. So, to begin, I have called many of the numbers from my contact list of 27 professionals. Many of these phone calls go to voicemail, so I leave a voice message which I have rehearsed many times. This message includes my contact information, so I hope for a call back from the professional.
This has been a challenging process as many of these calls have been unsuccessful. However, I plan on staying persistent in making these calls, as that is the only way I can finally make a successful phone call, soon.
Meanwhile, while I continue the process of finding professionals to contact, I plan on furthering my own knowledge on the topic of neurology and my professional skills, in order to ensure a better experience when I do receive a meeting.
